Onboarding — $2,000, one time
Small changes ship on the free app install. Mid-tier builds — custom features, integrations, small applications — ship to staging and production, and that requires real setup. Onboarding puts a human on a call with your team to build your pipelines, encode your guidelines, and agree the guardrails. One fee, and the ladder is open.
Quoted before it costs you
a single token.
1. Ask
Send your request through any channel. Big or small — we'll size it.
2. Realtime quote
You get a token quote back in the same thread, in realtime. A copy change starts at 25 tokens; a custom feature at 60; a design build at 250. Most requests land between 100 and 300.
3. Accept or reject
Accept and the build starts immediately. Reject and nothing burns — no awkward change-order emails, ever.
Fair questions.
What's a token, exactly?
A token is Clyp's unit of work. Every ask gets quoted in tokens based on its size and complexity — a copy or config change starts at 25 tokens, a feature at 60, a design build at 250, and a typical request lands between 100 and 300. You always see the quote before anything starts, so there are no surprise bills.
Why is there an onboarding fee?
Because mid-tier work deserves mid-tier setup. Shipping to staging and production safely means building real pipelines, encoding your brand and code guidelines, and agreeing your release rules — and a human does that with your team on a call, not a form. The $2,000 is one-time, and it's what makes everything after it fast and safe. Small changes never need it.
Which platforms do you support?
Clyp installs as an app with theme access on Shopify, BigCommerce, and Shopware — with more platforms to come.
My platform already has an AI assistant. Why Clyp?
Built-in assistants are genuinely useful for advice, analytics, and merchandising nudges. Clyp does something different: it's a development service. Reviewed code, staged builds, quality gates, and production pushes under your company's rules — from copy changes up to small applications. If the ask ends in shipped code, it's ours.
How many requests does a bucket cover?
A typical request lands between 100 and 300 tokens, so the 500-token starter bucket covers two to five requests — enough to feel the workflow. The 5,000-token bucket covers roughly 15 to 50 requests and costs less per token, and at 20,000 you're at the throughput of a full-time hire. The 50,000-token bucket is where per-token pricing is cheapest.
Do tokens expire?
No. Your bucket is yours until you use it.
What's the difference between filling a bucket and subscribing?
Filling a bucket is a one-time purchase — buy tokens, use them whenever. Subscribing refills the same bucket size every month at 2¢ off every token, so teams with a steady flow of asks pay less per token. Unused tokens roll over, and you can pause or cancel anytime.
What counts as a "small request" on the free tier?
Think theme tweaks, copy changes, small fixes — asks that quote at the 25-token floor and ship straight through the app. It's meant to let you feel the workflow end-to-end before you spend anything. Bigger asks get quoted too — we'll just let you know onboarding is the next step before we can build them.
When does Unlimited make sense?
When your team is sending asks daily and the quote-accept loop becomes overhead. At around the 20,000-token clip you're getting the throughput you'd expect from a full-time hire — Unlimited takes the meter off entirely.
Is this really AI doing the development?
Yes — a trained, skilled agentic service purpose-built for store development, operating inside guardrails we set up with you during onboarding. It's the same infrastructure already shipping daily work for two ecommerce companies. Your approval gates every production push.
